Tony Scott (b. 1976)
Untitled. Signed Tony Scott 24. Folded paper. Visible size 39×29 cm.
The Danish artist Tony Scott (b. 1976) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Scott emerges as a luminary in the realm of paper folding artistry. Guided by the steadfast principle of starting with a square and adhering to the rule of no cutting, Scott embarks on a transformative journey with each creation. The challenge lies in encapsulating the very essence of his subject within the folds, unfolding layers of meaning and beauty with every meticulous manipulation of paper. The goal: unfolding the paper's hidden potential. The question that intrigues him is: what is the limit of a square piece of paper. The challenge: if you can think it, you can fold it. He has worked with origami for more than 15ys, initially inspired when visiting Hiroshima, Japan. He has returned several times over the years.
Examined in frame. Original condition.
