The painting is a study for a painting by Viggo Johansen from 1897, which is located at Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen - Neue Pinakothek München, inventory number 8077. This measures 128 × 157 cm and bears the German title “Meine Freunde abends bei mir”.
