A cased Lefaucheux revolver after the pattern of 1854 number 39311 in calibre c 11 mm. The left side of the frame marked INVT. E. LEFAUCHEUX in a half circle. The barrel is 6 inch long and the cylinder holds 6 shots. The oak case is lined with green velvet and contains a chain lanyard.
Eugene Lefauches was a gunmaker like his father Casimir Lefauchex - the real inventor of the revolver.
