Kaare Klint (b. Frederiksberg 1888, d. Copenhagen 1954)

Exceptionally rare and unique grand piano of mahogany. Profiled frame with brass fittings. Serialnumber 50000. This example made 1960 by Rud. Rasmussen Cabinetmakers and Hornung & Møller. H. 98 cm. W. 142 cm. L. 201 cm.

Provenance: The Danish Embassy in Washington, USA. Bruun Rasmussen auction 723, lot no. 414, June 2003. Current owner. As one of two examples made, this piano was made 1960, 44 years after the first one made in 1916. The piano was made on Finn Juhl's request, as the architecht responsible for the interior design of the Danish Embassy in Washington.
