Russian travel icon depicting the blessing Christ, silver-gilt oklad, halo decorated with cloisonné enamel. Cyrillic maker's mark KZ, Moscow town mark, 84 standard, late 19th century. Mounted in a three-pieced black leather box, lined with red silk. 24×18 cm. Oval part 18×14 cm.

Provenance: The sellers great-grandfather, doctor and officer in the Danish Navy, Peter Vilhelm Lütken (1830–1904). Due to his position and profession he often met Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia (1847–1928) in Denmark and Russia, and he was even awarded with the St. Anna Order.
