Russian silver and cloisonné enamel kovsh with scrolling flowers and foliage, ropework rim, stylized feather handle. Nicolai Vasilievich Alexeiev, Moscow 1908–1917, 84 standard. Weight c. 296 gr. H. 13.5 cm. L. 13 cm.

Provenance: Acquired by the Danish engineer Knud Madsen in Russia around the time of the Russian revolution in 1917, where he worked for the Great Northern Telegraph Company. Thence Knud Madsen's nephew and his daughter until today.
