Provenance: Engineer and art collector Johannes Rump (1861–1932). Presumably his auction Anton Hansen 188, 1932 nr. 112, with the title “Vinterbillede” (Winter landscape). Later seller's Danish great-grandfather, butchery director of Herning Slaughterhouse, Adolf Madsen.
