Gilt lacquered wood Amida Buddha, the figure depicted standing before a relief carved buddha mandorla, in draped robes on a double lotus, base further raised on a tiered base with carved galleries. Meiji 1868–1912. H. 107 cm. Buddha 56 cm.
Provenance: Emissary and author Aage Henriksen, born in Jutland around 1900. Stayed in his early years one year in Peking and seven years in Tokyo.
