Johann Fischer, attributed
Large Russian gilt brass and bronze chandelier, hung with prisms and set with a large clear glass bowl, the top set with rock crystal. Late 18th century. H. 120 cm. Diam. 70 cm.

The German born Johann Fischer came to St. Petersburg in the 1780s and became part of the German copper guild. He delivered work to the Imperial palaces, which today is to be seen at the Hermitage and at Count Stroganoff's Palace in St. Petersburg as well as at Ostankino Palace in Moscow.
