A pair of Empire diamond ear girandole earrings, set with numerous rose-cut diamonds in the shape of flowers and foliage, mounted in gold and silver, later 14k gold ear clips and hangers. Apparently no maker's mark. Presumably Russia. C. 1830. L. 7 cm. (2).

Provenance: Antique dealer and collector Arne Schlesch (1922–2010) in New York. According to his information the earrings earlier belonged to Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia (1847–1928), née Princess Dagmar of Denmark.
