Russian painters, second half of the 18th century

A collection of four miniature portraits depicting: The Russian polician and general, Prince Alexander Alexeevich Wiazemsky (1727–1793); his mother, Princess Pelageya Ivanovna PozniakovajuIt (b. c. 1700); his eldest daughter, Princess Ekatharina Alexandrovna Wiazemskaya (1764–1829); his youngest daughter, Princess Anna Alexandrovna Wiazemskaya (1770–1840). Unsigned. Gouache on bone. Diam. two 6.7 cm each in one frame (21×40.5 cm); one visible size 7.7×6.1 cm and one 7.3×6 cm. Period frames, hence two of ebony. (3).

Princess Ekatharina married the governor in Mogilev, Prince Dmitri Alexandrovich Tolstoi (1754–1832), and Princess Anna married the Neapolitan diplomate, count Antonio Maresca Donnorso di Serracapriola (1750–1822).
