Russian Empire silver beaker with lid, applied frieze in the form of women in classical dresses, handle with fabulous animals, lid with two wreaths. Cyrillic maker's mark SR, assayer I. Avdejev 1838, Moscow town mark, 84 standard. Weight c. 338 gr. H. 15.5 cm. Diam. bottom 7.8 cm. (2).

Provenance: Acquired by seller's father, Niels Gunnar Hansen from Uggerslev (1904–1970), while he worked the the Great Northern Telegraph Company in Russia during the 1920s.
