G. Collin was Petzholdt's brother-in-law, and it is his handwriting on the back of the canvas. G. Collin wrote on the back when he framed Petzholdt's paintings. Works by the painter F. Petzholdt rarely come up for sale. He was only 33 years old when he died and left only a small production of paintings.
