Helge Vestergaard Jensen (b. Herning 1917, d. Copenhagen 1987)

A set of four high back mahogany armchairs, mounted on slightly tapering legs. Seat and back upholstered with patinated natural leather. Made and marked by cabinetmaker Søren Horn. (4)

Presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild exhibition in 1963. Literature: Grete Jalk [ed]: “40 Years of Danish Furniture Design”, vol. 4, ill. and reffered to p. 309.

Condition

Frames with surface marks and scratches. Leather with patina due to age and use. Leather in seats reupholstered. Leather in back with various degree of crackles in leather. One chair with hole and tear in back (see photo). One chair with defect leather edging.
