An Italian schiavona with blade marked on both sides by a kings head mark. The schiavona is of Ewart Oakeshott type 1. The “cats head” is decorated with the head of a “troll”, the hilt is without bindings and the double edged sharp flexible blade is c. 85 cm. long. The kings heads mark is probably for a member of the Wundes family in Solingen.

Condition

The bars on the hilt somewhat corroded and the blade stained.
