“En Pige forsvarer sig mod den, der trækker hende i Skørterne”. A young woman defends herself against someone who pulls her skirt. Signed C. W. Eckersberg fecit and inscribed “En Pige forsvarer sig mod den, der trækker hende i Skørterne”. Drawing ink on paper. Visible size 26.5×19.5 cm.

On the back of the sheet number 269 from the estate auction and a drawing of a young girl who ties a bundle. That one is a study for one of the figures in “Moses lader Det Røde Hav træde tilbage. Faraos Hær oversvømmes”. Moses raises his staff and stretch out his hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. That one painted in Rome 1813–1816, at Statens Museum for Kunst. (The Danish National Gallery). (KMS69).
