A pair of embroidered handkerchiefs with crowned names for Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna (Dagmar) of Russia and Queen Alexandra of England, daughters of Christian IX of Denmark. The handkerchiefs were presumably embroidered by the sisters themselves. 19th century. C. 40×40 cm each. (2).
Provenance: Seller's grandfather, who lived in Ballerup near Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, daughter of Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna.
Minor wear due to age, among others discolourations and repairs.
