Russian silver cigarette case, gilt interior, decorated with the Russian gold double eagle on front, gold lock with cabochon-cut sapphire. Indistint maker's mark, presumeably jeweller Alexander Tillander in St. Petersburg, 1908–1917. In red leather and velvet case from Alexander Tillander, front set with the Russian Warrant in gold print. Vægt 158 gr. L. 10 cm. (2).
Provenance: Owner's mother's uncle, harbour master in Copenhagen A. P. Vig Nielsen, who received it as a present from Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna during one of her visits in Denmark.
