George II sterling silver tankard of baluster form, later chased with rocailles, flowers and foliage, the body engraved with crest and motto “Virtus Omnia Domae”, the hinged domed cover engraved with the inscription “Presented to the Rev. C. Day. L.L.B. by the Inhabitants of Theale Somerset”. Marked on the reverse and handle. Maker Richard Bayley, London 1744. Weight 798 gr. H. 18.5 cm.
