China, Ming Dynasty, Board of Revenue, 1 Kuan (1000 Cash), 1368–1399, printed on mulberry bark paper and stamped with the Red Seal of Emperor Hung Wu - an exceptionally fine example with unusually clear imprints on the back

Provenance: Consigned by the descendants of the renowned Danish collector and engineer Sophus Black (1882–1960), who was stationed in China from 1902 to 1931. The present example has never been on the market since it was originally acquired by Sophus Black.
