“Delegates Chair”. A pair of teak armchairs. Sides, back and loose seat cushion upholstered with green wool. Model FJ 51. Made by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder. (2)

Provenance: Bought by previous owner directly from Niels Vodder in the 1950s.

The chair was designed for the chamber of The United Nations Trusteeship Council. The first few pieces were made by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, while production for the UN chamber and the US market in general was manufactured by Baker Furniture.
