Ingrid was the daughter of Augusta Eriksson, the Larsson family's housekeeper and a close friend of the family. The young girl is standing in the parlour in Larssongården “Lilla Hyttnäs” in Sundborn. It was the family's favorite room, where they spend most of the time. It was the place where Carl Larsson worked. He called the room “lättjans tempel” the temple of relaxation. Ingrid is standing barefooted in her light summer dress and a smart hat with a blue ribbon on her head. She is standing next to a typical Swedish Gustavian piece of furniture. Carl Larsson has placed a crayfish on the table - a humorous detail.
