An Italian single manual harpsichord, 47 ivory and walnut veneered keys (C/E-d), walnut and pinewood case. Presumably Naples c. 1680, H. 16 cm. L. 158 cm. W. 69,5 cm. 'False inner-outer', black painted case and decorated with arabesque and foliage, the lid made to fit, the exterior of the lid decorated with foliage and figures, the interior depicts mythological scene with Venus and Satyr, the base adorned with five giltwood legs carved with lion monopodia. 19th century. H. 86 cm. L. 167 cm. W. 79 cm.

Provenance: This Harpsichord was bought in Vienna 1945 and has been in the same family since.
