The Art Deco style is characterized by among other things an eclectic inspiration and choice of materials from exotic cultures. This trait can be seen most clearly in the “pure” French Art Deco, where the style first emerged. Pure Art Deco style is only found in very limited supply in Denmark, and the “Pyramid Clock” is a rare example of the very purest form of Art Deco style with its extremely high quality and luxurious conception in combination with the exotic, Egyptian ornamentation.
