The Danish artist Erik Steffensen is educated from the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen where he has been a professor since 1998. He works in the borderland between painting and photography. Steffensen’s photographs often experiments with the borders between painting and photography, with a foothold in traditional art genres – from traditional landscape painting of The Golden Age in Danish art history to pop cultural cartoons. His works are in the collections of museums such as Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk; ARoS, Aarhus; The National Gallery, Copenhagen.
