Provenance: Private Danish collection. Acquired by present owner's parents directly from Erhard Rasmussen approx. 1954.

Literature: Grete Jalk [ed.]: “40 Years of Danish Furniture Design”, vol. 3, pp. 116–119.

Model presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1949: “With the chairs designed for Erhard Rasmussen, Børge Mogensen has created a product which will serve as a model for future chairs. Though it may look primitive, it has exactly what it takes to make a chair simple and comfortable. Perhaps more than any other chair, it has the very qualities needed to make it a highly versatile design”.
