A Martini Henry cavalry carbine mark 1 produced at Enfield in 1880. The right side of the barrel is marked 577–450" 34 GRS. NC 480 GRS. SHOT meaning that it is a small calibre shotgun. This fairly rare variation of the Martini-Henry carbine was issued to among others the Indian Police.
The stock is worn and is repaired with a shiver of wood where the lever rech the stock - the metal has faint traces of original colour. The barrel is smooth bored. Note: this lot demands a permit for export outside of Denmark. The Danish authorities demand an import licence from the police of the buyers country of residence, or documentation that you do not require a licence to posess the items in your country.
