A fine gold decorated Indian Kathar in its scabbard. The straps and the part of the grip which covers the blade is finely decorated with golden steel carved script in high relief. The inner side of the straps decorated with flowers - also in high relief. The damascene blade is c. 32 cm. long and somewhat unusual with a straight upper part and a curved edge. The wooden scabbard is covered in brown fabric and the chape is decorated like the straps with inscription.

Condition

The blade with some dark spots and the fabric on the scabbard worn.
