Mahogany ship steering wheel from the Royal Danish Yacht, paddle steamer “Dannebrog”, which was used by the Danish Royal Family 1879–1936. A copper lantern is enclosed. 19th century. Diam. steering wheel 141 cm. H. lantern 41 cm. (2).
Provenance: The ship steering wheel is from the Royal Danish yacht, paddle steamer “Dannebrog”. The ship was scrabbed in 1936 and the wheel was aquired by it's last commander Emil K. Ackermann, whose family has owned it until now.
Wear due to age and use.
