Provenance: According to seller's information the painting was originally acquired at “Russisk Maleriudstilling” (Russian Art Exhibition) in Copenhagen February 1929. Here, among others Konstantin Semenovich Vyssotsky participated with eleven paintings. The present painting is presumably no. 131 on this exhibition with the title “Ved Skovranden” (On the fringe of the forest).
