“Brudgommen søger efter Bruden, som Pigerne prøve paa at skjule. Gammel Folkeskik ved Bondebryllupper i Danmark. - Scenen fra Hedeboegnen, tænkt omtrent 50 Aar tilbage i Tiden.” The groom is looking for the bride who is being hidden. An old Danish folk custom. Signed and dated J. Exner 1879. Oil on canvas. 98×147 cm.
