A French officers small sword after the pattern of 1872 decorated with a horse head on the shell surrounded by laurels and a c. 84 cm. long blade marked Coulaux & Cie on one side and Klingenthal on the other as well as a Spanish artillery officers sabre in its scabbard with a c. 86 cm. long straight double edged blade deeply etched ARTILLERIA TOLEDO ANO DE 1851 on one side and a long faint Spanish inscription on the other starting with EL BARON D. PABLO BOURGOING EMBAJADOR A FRANCIA EN ESPANA ......

Condition

The spanisk sword has a spotted scabbard.
