A gentleman's wristwatch of 18k gold. Model Seamaster XVI “Olympic Cross of Merit”. Automatic movement, caliber 25 AR SC-471. Creamy laquered dial with gold hands and hourmarkers. Original Omega winding crown. FixoFlex bracelet of goldplated steel. Case diameter app. 34 mm. 1956.
This model was introduced to celebrate the Olympic Games in Melbourne 1956. This “Olympic Cross of Merit” version was limited to approx. 100 pieces and much rarer than the standard XVI version. Provenance: Omega - a journey through time, page 283.
