Chi Pai-Shih/Qi Baishi (1864–1957) was a renowned Chinese painter. The subjects of his paintings include almost everything, most commonly animals, scenery, figures, toys, vegetables, and so on. Qi Baishi is particularly known for painting shrimps of which the present book has one fine example. He was a member of the Danish artist association Corner and exhibited with them in 1951.
