“Bluefluted” porcelain icedome with dish, decorated in underglaze blue and gold. Pierced cover with leaf ornaments, lid knob in the shape of a tulip. The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory, 1894–1900. H. 28 cm. Diam. 30 cm.

Icedome with dish - an explanation of the use have varying stories. Bottle hide with dome, the intention was to hold small bottles or liquor bottles chilled in crushed ice in the dish bowl, while the pierced dome have had a decorative purpose, it can not be excluded that ice dish has been used for ice dessert.

Condition

No remarks. Icedome with number 1/1068, three waves (made up to 1923), dish with no number and older than the dome, mark from 1894–1900.
