A signed Mashad carpet, Persia. All over design of palmettes and rosettes on an ivory field, charateristic 3–4 cm wide flatwoven outer edge. Most likely from either the workshop of Saber or Amoghli. Mid-20th century. 400×302 cm.
Provenance: A Danish company. If we are to make a short list of the best rugs from Iran we must include Saber and Amoghli of Mashad.
