A Danish Baroque silver peg tankard, cover engraved with stylized foliage, centred by a silver-gilt medal (in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Luther's Reformationen 1517–1717) circled by owner's names and date: “Jes Mechelsen i Stenderop. 1761. Karen Laues Datter”, sides cast with mascaroons and foliage above supports, supports and thumb piece in the shape of crowned lion on ball. The bottom pricked with weight W 57 lod 1/2 qt. Maker Claus Otzen, Haderslev 1761. Weight 811 gr. H. 18 cm.
