A George III mahogany game table, carved with rosettes and borders, straight fluted legs. England, late 18th century. H. 73 cm. W. 90 cm. D. 42 cm.

The table originates from the former diplomat O.C. Mohr (1883–1970), who headed the Danish Berlin mission in the early 1940s. During an American air raid the embassy building was severely damaged, yet the table was left perfectly unharmed.

Condition

Wear. Small scratches and marks. Faded.
