Select fables is a re-edition of some 340 wood-engravings by the brothers Bewick, printed from the original blocks. As stated in the introducing “advertisement”, the publisher of the present volume could take over a great number of the cuts of the Bewick brothers, many of them published already in the “Select fables” of 1784.
