Karl Hansen Reistrup (b. Valby 1863, d. Copenhagen 1929)

Karl Hansen Reistrup: A Danish Dragoon and a Prussian hussar trumpeter in a street in Aarhus, Denmark. A well known episode from the three years war 1848–50, where a Prussian trumpeter is captured after a chase in the city streets. Signed and dated K. H. R. 1910. Oil on canvas. 56×69 cm.
