This collection of works by Hermann Hesse was collected by one of his great admirers the German- Danish lecturer Georg Goetz. The collection contains several inscribed copies and also a few letters which Hesse wrote to Goetz. In a letter enclosed in a copy of “Knulp” he writes: “Lieber Herr Goetz, haben sie Dank für das Geschenck Ihres Briefes, Ich möchte Ihnen auch etwas schencken, und versuche es mit dem Knulp”.
