“Guldhøj stool”. An oak folding stool with patinated thick natural leather seat. Model 41. Manufactured by Poul Hundevad, Vamdrup. H. 37 cm.

Literature: Mobilia 1957. Replica of bronze age stool found in a grave outside Vamdrup in Jutland dated 1300 B.C. and thus the oldest preserved piece of furniture in Scandinavia. The original stool is in the collection of the National Museum of Denmark.

Condition

Wear. Marks and scratches. Leather broken off at one joint, also with numerous small tears and cracks.
