Noble Savage, directoire gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock 'Portefaix' after design by the bronzier Jean-Andre Reiche, white enamel dial, the figure is carrying a large bundle of cotton on his back-basket in which the clock is integrated. Signed 'Galle, Rue Vivienne á Paris'. Early 19th century. H. 38 cm. W. 26 cm. D. 9 cm.
