A Dansih white painted longcase clock, painted dial with chapter ring of pewter with Roman and Arabic numerals. Plaque marked Christian Due no. 820, for Christian Madsen Due (1763–1832). First half of the 19th century. H. 232 cm. W. 53 cm. D. 30 cm.

As seen in the attached photo the longcase clock was standing in the dining room at Christian X and Queen Alexandrine royal summer residence at Skagen, “Klitgaarden”.

Provenance: Descendants of King Frederik VIII of Denmark (1843–1912) until today.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. No guarantee of the function of the clock work. Pendulum, weights and key is enclosed.
