Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia's Danish Rococo walnut commode, front with four curved drawers, later giltwood base. Mid 18th century, restored and ornaments added late 19th century. H. 96 cm. W. 77 cm. D. 48 cm. (2).

Included key with label and text in Danish: “Tante Minnys Kommode” (Aunt Minny's commode). Minny was Maria Feodorovna's nickname in the Royal Danish family.

Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna (1847–1928) was a younger sister of King Frederik VIII of Denmark.

Provenance: Descendants of Frederik VIII (1843–1912) until today.
