A fine paddle shaped war club from Tonga or Samoa. The club is c. 111 cm long made of brown hardwood with a handle, which is round in cross-section. Towards the upper end, the club becomes wider, and the cross-section is rhomboid. The upper part of the club has a shape similar to that of a paddle. This part is separated from the handle through two pairs of bulging rings. The club is carved all over with geometrical patterns.
