A fine 19th century kindjal/qama in its scabbard with nielloid silver mounts. The grip is in two pieces of brown horn held together with large domed rivet heads. The damascene blade is c. 45,5 cm long with a central rib on each side. On both sides of the blade is an engraved rosette. The wooden scabbard is covered in black leather with two large silver mounts decorated with niello in a floral design. The upper mount has a niello inlaid inscription on the back.
