A fine Caucasian 19th century kindjal with a walrus grip in a silver mounted scabbard. The double edged blade with off centered fullers is c. 44,5 cm long and c. 5 cm broad by the ricasso. The two large silver mounts are decorated in niello, and are hallmarked on the smooth back with Kazan? mark, 84 and 1840. On the back of the scabbard, a small bone handled dagger with a c. 11 cm long single edged blade.
