A splendid Indian princely kathar with a gilded grip decorated with precious stone. 18th century. The outer side of the side bars is inlaid with carved tourmaline. The inner side is decorated with flowers inlaid with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds. The double edged blade is c. 22 cm long with triangular fullers and an armour piercing point.
