Large collection of more than 225 photographs from a travel to Shanghai, Woosung and other cities in China, Korea, Japan and Russia. by a Danish maschinist in the 1910's. Vintage silver gelatine prints, mounted in contemporary album with lacquer boards. Spine defect.

Enclosed typewritten travel description by the Danish maschinist Aage Rasmussen. Dated Shanghai 25.7.1912. 14 pages.

This interesting collection of photographs depicts the people and various sites of China and Japan and several are taken during the revolution in 1911 and depict the graphic details of beheaded prisoners and troops going to war. The photographs have been taken/collected by the Danish maschinist Aage Rasmussen who was travelling in the area in the revolutionary period.
